We are pleased to announce the construction of a beautiful
II Manual organ in South Korea. Happily, the planning phase
for the sanctuary included the provision of ample space
for the organ, center front, behind the altar. The organ
stands against a concrete wall, which affords good sound
reflection into the room. The elegantly simple facade is
made of steamed red beech. The Hauptwerk is above the console,
which can be hidden during the service by means of a paravent.
Above the Hauptwerk is the Schwellwerk. The Pedal is located
to the left and right.
The playing-action is mechanical and the stop-action is
electric and can be set electronically by a large combination
system.
Our Opus 23 is now the third Glatter-Götz organ in
Korea. It was inaugurated in June, 2004.
